Working Solutions issued the following announcement:

Announce New Chapter as Consolidated Entity

Driving Scale and Impact in California through Strategic Consolidation

San Francisco, CA (October 20, 2026) — Working Solutions CDFI and Main Street Launch are excited to announce their new chapter as a unified entity to expand access to capital for California’s small businesses.

Together, the two organizations will increase combined annual deployment by 25% in the next year alone—from $18 million to nearly $23 million. Expanded offerings will continue to prioritize low-income, BIPOC, and women entrepreneurs seeking affordable capital and consulting to start and grow their businesses.

Building on shared executive leadership announced in March 2026, the two organizations have now consolidated under a parent-subsidiary model, and they will operate under a single staffing structure. This growth-oriented strategy is designed to build the capacity of two leading, mid-sized CDFIs to serve more entrepreneurs collectively and to expand programming with philanthropic and municipal partners.

"Small business owners in California are ambitious, and our approach should be too," said Sara Razavi, CEO of both Working Solutions CDFI and Main Street Launch. "We undertook this consolidation to build something that is bigger than the sum of two parts, with more capacity to serve entrepreneurs and to continue scaling our impact. We expect this will be the first of several product or geographic expansions through consolidation, and we are sharing the structure openly in the hope that other CDFIs see what is possible through strategic consolidation."

For small business owners, this means more pathways to affordable, flexible business loans. Together, Working Solutions CDFI and Main Street Launch now offer a best-in-class continuum of capital from $5,000-$350,000. With a no-wrong-door approach, capital can be accessed through either organization, with the support of a shared team that has decades of experience and specialized expertise. This means connecting more entrepreneurs with the right products and resources at the right time, whether they are launching a first-time business or are ready for a larger loan.

Consolidation is a bold step forward for both organizations. It is an example of thought leadership towards increased scale for CDFIs and innovation to support future sustainability in the nonprofit sector while providing direct benefit to small business owners in California.
