Daily Journal: Top 100 Lawyers 2022: Daniel M. Petrocelli

O’Melveny partner Daniel Petrocelli has been named to the Daily Journal’s 2022 list of ”Top 100 Lawyers,” which “celebrates California attorneys doing cutting-edge legal work.” This is the tenth consecutive year that the Daily Journal has named Petrocelli to the “Top 100” list, noting that he is “often at the center of major legal events.” The publication recognized Petrocelli this year for defending Penguin Random House LLC against the US Department of Justice’s antitrust case seeking to block the publisher’s proposed US$2.2 billion acquisition of Simon & Schuster Inc. The Daily Journal also noted Petrocelli’s work as lead trial counsel representing rapper Travis Scott in more than 500 lawsuits stemming from the 2021 Astroworld Music Festival in Houston.
