Law360: 3rd Circ. Won’t Revive American Airlines Religious Bias Suit

The Third Circuit held that a lower court correctly granted American Airlines summary judgement in a religious discrimination suit brought by former flight attendant Farkhan Mahmood Shah. “There is no evidence in the record suggesting that Shah’s termination was motivated by his protected activity,” the panel said. Shah sued American over claims that he was constantly harassed by co-workers and that the airline used his performance as an excuse to fire him. American Airlines is represented by Mark W.
