Law360: American Airlines, Union Must Arbitrate CBA Dispute

US District Judge Reed O’Connor dismissed the Allied Pilots Association’s lawsuit accusing American Airlines of violating their collective bargaining agreement by failing to negotiate a change to how it staffs training simulations. “American has adequately shown that this case concerns a minor dispute under the RLA (Railway Labor Act),” Judge O’Connor wrote. “The union must seek relief in the RLA’s negotiation procedures, not the courts.” American Airlines is represented by Robert A.
