Law360: Google Fights App Users’ Class Cert. Bid In Antitrust Row

Google told a California federal court that antitrust claims brought by a group of consumers should not be granted class certification. The claims accuse Google of monopolizing the app distribution market on its Play Store and in-app purchases. The tech giant argued that the consumers are “misconstruing evidence and brushing aside competitive realities.” Google is represented by Daniel M. Petrocelli, Stephen J. McIntyre, Ian Simmons, and Benjamin G. Bradshaw of O’Melveny & Myers LLP.
