Garrett Johnston, a new mergers and acquisitions partner, has joined O’Melveny in Houston as the firm continues the rapid growth in Texas that began when it opened its first offices in the state last year. “I knew the brand. O’Melveny has an excellent reputation nationally and internationally as a BigLaw powerhouse,” Johnston told Law360 Pulse on Wednesday. Angela Olivarez, who is one of the senior partners in O’Melveny’s Houston office, shared with Law360 Pulse that the firm’s growth in Texas will continue. “It’s been quite a streak. We are extremely proud of the foundation we’ve built in Houston and in Texas overall,” Olivarez said.
