Law.com highlighted Dan Petrocelli’s recent interview with The American Lawyer about COVID-19’s positive and negative impacts on litigation in its weekly Compliance Hot Spots newsletter. Petrocelli, AmLaw’s “Litigator of the Year,” is a vice chair of O’Melveny and leads the firm’s trial practice.
Petrocelli predicts a “hellaciously busy” 2021 after a year without a single in-person trial. “It is going to be helter-skelter. These cases are colliding with one another as we start getting back to normal. It’s going to take a couple of years for this to work through the system. There’s a tremendous backlog right now,” he said.
