O’Melveny has hired Matthew Syrkin as a corporate partner and co-chair of its media and technology group in New York. Syrkin has been recognized by Variety and The Hollywood Reporter as a top entertainment and technology dealmaker, advising clients that include HBO, Comcast, Paramount, and others on deals across the globe. O’Melveny’s blue-chip media and entertainment clientele, its focus on the convergence of media and technology, and growing corporate bench were factors that drew Syrkin to the firm. “There’s real momentum here at O’Melveny that I think offers something very unique in the marketplace.
