The Texas Lawbook: O’Melveny Picks Up Gray Reed Practice Group Leader

Ryan Sears, head of the energy-transactions practice at Gray Reed, has moved to O’Melveny, joining its Dallas office one week after it announced the addition of Sid Mody, the former assistant US attorney for the Northern District of Texas. Sears focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions and asset deals in the upstream and midstream oil and gas sectors. He joins an energy-industry bench in Texas that includes Jason Schumacher, Katie Coleman, Phillip Oldham, Monica Hwang and Steven Torello.
