The Wall Street Journal: Disney Sues Ron DeSantis After Oversight Board Voids Theme-Park Agreements

A lawsuit has been filed on behalf of Walt Disney Co. against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis accusing him of engaging in a “targeted campaign of government retaliation” after the company expressed thoughts on a Florida law that was passed last year. The suit also alleges constitutional violations in response to actions taken by DeSantis and a new board he appointed to oversee the district where Walt Disney World is located. “This government action was patently retaliatory, patently antibusiness, and patently unconstitutional,” the complaint stated. “But the Governor and his allies have made clear they do not care and will not stop.” Disney is represented by Daniel Petrocelli.
