Lindsay Conner Named to Variety500 List

CENTURY CITY—December 27, 2021—O’Melveny partner Lindsay Conner has been named by Variety to the fifth annual edition of Variety500, which honors “the 500 most influential business leaders shaping the global media industry.”
The recognition was announced on December 21 in a special edition of Variety.
In his award profile, Variety highlighted Conner’s October arrival as a partner in O’Melveny’s Entertainment, Sports and Media Group. Variety also recognized Conner for his pre-O’Melveny financing and M&A work, including:
• representing New Republic Pictures’ majority shareholder in securing financing for a 10-film slate deal between the company and Paramount Pictures;
• advising Olive Hill Media in a seven-figure equity investment in the Gerard Butler action film The Plane, plus financing for multiple documentaries (including Hulu’s WeWork);
• representing Jay and Soojin Jeon (owners of the Cocomelon YouTube channel) in their nine-figure sale of Treasure Studio to Moonbug Entertainment.
This is Conner’s fifth consecutive year on the Variety500 list.
Conner focuses his practice on film, television, and digital content. He has served as chief outside entertainment counsel for major film studios and television networks, global telecommunications companies, film and television production and distribution companies, rights owners and content owners, and digital media companies, as well as for banks, financial institutions, private equity funds and high-net-worth investors.
