Los Angeles Business Journal Names Molly Lens a “Women of Influence”

May 04, 2021

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LOS ANGELES—May 3, 2021—The Los Angeles Business Journal has named partner Molly Lens to its “Women Of Influence: Attorneys” list. This exclusive ranking recognizes women who have demonstrated “exceptional legal skill and achievement across the full spectrum of responsibility, exemplary leadership as evidenced by the highest professional and ethical standards, and for contributions to the Los Angeles community at large.”

Hailed as one of “Hollywood’s top litigators,” Lens was honored for her work representing clients Twentieth Century Fox and Activision Blizzard.

In what the publication described as “one of the most high-stakes and highly-publicized entertainment litigations in recent memory,” Lens co-led the O’Melveny team representing Fox in its executive poaching suit against Netflix. Her team secured a motion for summary judgment and a permanent injunction stopping Netflix’s impingement of Fox’s employment contracts—a victory that “importantly reaffirms the use and importance of fixed-term contracts.”

Following this achievement, Lens is now co-leading the O’Melveny team representing videogame giant Activision Blizzard as it also takes on Netflix in another executive poaching “headline-making showdown.”

The Los Angeles Business Journal’s profile of Lens can be found here.
