O’Melveny Partner Joe Zujkowski Named One of Turnarounds & Workouts’ 2022 “Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyers”

NEW YORK—May 4, 2022—O’Melveny Partner Joe Zujkowski has been named to Turnarounds & Workouts 2022 list of “Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyers.” The highly selective list recognizes the achievements of a dozen restructuring lawyers under 40 years of age who led significant matters in the past year.

Turnarounds & Workouts highlighted Zujkowski’s leading role in O’Melveny’s representation of the Government of Puerto Rico in the largest municipal restructuring in U.S. history, a deal that involved over US$70 billion in debt and US$50 billion in unfunded pension liabilities.

The publication also noted his work advising an ad hoc group of term lenders of Belk, Inc. in a deal to restructure the department store chain through a one-day prepackaged Chapter 11 filing, as well as his representation of women’s clothing boutique operator, Francesca’s Holdings, in an expedited Chapter 11 process.

In April, Zujkowski was named co-chair of O’Melveny’s U.S. Restructuring practice.
