O’Melveny Partner Terry Dugan Named Chair of the New York City Bar Association’s Entertainment Law Committee

NEW YORK—June 29, 2022—O’Melveny partner Terrence L. Dugan has been named Chair of the New York City Bar Association’s Entertainment Law Committee for a three-year term commencing in September 2022.

The Committee consists of 39 voting members who practice in a variety of entertainment industry areas, including television, film, theater, record labels and music publishing, music rights and new media. In addition to monthly meetings and presentations to its members, the Committee conducts continuing legal education seminars, authors reports on current topics, and advises the City Bar Association in taking formal positions on pending legislation and other issues relevant to the Committee’s area of expertise.

Based in O’Melveny’s New York office, Dugan’s practice focuses on finance, acquisitions, and workouts, primarily in the motion picture and music sectors. Terry represents the market-leading agent bank in syndicated financings in the motion picture finance space, other lenders in the film and music space, market-leading music rights acquisition funds, and other investors in the motion picture and music sectors.
