O’Melveny Partners Darin Snyder and Ryan Yagura Named 2022 “Top Intellectual Property Lawyers” by the Daily Journal

LOS ANGELES—April 20, 2022—The Daily Journal has named O’Melveny partners Darin Snyder and Ryan Yagura to its 2022 list of “Top Intellectual Property Lawyers,” which recognizes the top intellectual property and patent litigation attorneys practicing in California.
The Daily Journal hailed Snyder’s work in securing a Federal Circuit ruling that allowed two patent cases involving Samsung and LG to move from the Western District of Texas to Northern California. The publication also noted Snyder’s role in four trials last year, including a successful defense of Google at trial against patent infringement allegations over an electronic “smart” picture frame. This year, Snyder has upcoming trials scheduled throughout 2022 for Google, Samsung, and Wayz.
The Daily Journal lauded Yagura, who serves as Chair of O’Melveny’s Intellectual Property and Technology Practice, for leading Samsung’s successful defense in a U.S. International Trade Commission investigation. The publication also highlighted Yagura’s work in a rare Federal Circuit win that transferred a Hyundai patent infringement case from West Texas to California, which, as Yagura described, “established a far-reaching precedent in the patent litigation community.” Yagura added, “Wins are rooted in solid preparation, and that’s what we did in each of these cases.”
