O’Melveny Represents HID Global in Crossmatch Acquisition

LOS ANGELES—September 24, 2018—O’Melveny represented identity solutions provider HID Global® in its acquisition of Crossmatch®, a leader in biometric identity management and secure authentication solutions, from Francisco Partners. Terms of the acquisition, which was announced today, were not disclosed.

The deal is expected to bolster HID’s ability to offer innovative identity solutions to millions of users, making it one of the world’s major providers of fingerprint biometric technologies.

Based in Austin, Texas, HID works with governments, educational institutions, hospitals, financial institutions, industrial businesses, and some of the most innovative companies around the world. With over 3,000 employees worldwide, HID serves more than 100 countries. HID is an ASSA ABLOY Group brand.

Founded in 1996 and based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Crossmatch employs over 270 professionals across a global network of development hubs and strategic sales offices.
