NEW YORK—July 26, 2022— O’Melveny has again achieved Gold Standard Certification by the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF). This marks the sixth year in a row the firm has earned this certification, reflecting O’Melveny’s ongoing commitment to women in leadership and advancing women lawyers.
WILEF, which supports women at the nation’s largest law firms and corporate law departments, grants Gold Standard status to major firms that meet criteria concerning the number of women among equity partners, in firm leadership positions, and in the ranks of their most highly compensated partners.
O’Melveny earned its Gold Standard Certification for achieving the following criteria:
- 25% of equity partners or, alternatively, 40% of the attorneys becoming equity partners are women
- 10% of women equity partners are women of color or 4% of women equity partners are LGBTQ+
- 20% of firm and US branch office heads are women
- 25% of the firm’s compensation committee or its equivalent are women
O’Melveny is making progress in closing the gender gap at its highest levels. Today, the co-head of the firm’s renowned Litigation Department is a woman and six of the firm’s nine managing partners in the US are women.
