Garrett Johnston counsels private equity clients, public and private companies and other types of institutions and individuals on key transactional matters. He has significant experience leading leveraged buyouts, add-on and other strategic acquisitions, competitive and distressed divestitures, recapitalizations, joint venture transactions, and securities transactions, including mezzanine, minority, and venture capital investments.

Garrett regularly assists and maintains relationships with a wide variety of private equity funds, institutional investors, independent sponsors, family offices, entrepreneurs and strategic acquirors across all industries, including technology, industrials, energy, and healthcare. He has represented clients based in the US and abroad and has practiced in New York and Houston.
