Our elite litigation team is on the short list of firms that multinationals call when confronted with high-stakes disputes. Whether in North America, Asia, or Europe, we represent global companies in complex cases spanning continents and jurisdictions. Our interdisciplinary firm is designed to serve clients around the world, and we have an extensive record of success in dozens of international venues, from Japan’s Supreme Court to the London Court of International Arbitration and so much in between.

In London and throughout Asia, with litigation hubs in Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Seoul, we have a long track record of successfully handling and resolving disputes, both in the courts and through international arbitration. Our favorable results reflect our deep connections and roots in local geographies, and experience in these regions dating back more than three decades. Whether in courts in Tokyo, Hong Kong, or London, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) or the International Chamber of Commerce, we are well-respected advocates in courtrooms worldwide and before international tribunals.

We handle disputes over M&A, joint ventures, shareholder complaints, sales and distribution agreements, insurance, financial services, construction, technology, and life sciences, to name a few. Our clients choose us because of the relationships we build, our technical and language skills, and our willingness and ability to understand their businesses.

We are respected outside the courtroom and tribunal as well. Denis Brock, Chair of our International Disputes and Arbitration Practice, is also the General Editor of the seminal textbook Commercial Arbitration: A Practical Guide, which is published for both Hong Kong and Singapore and co-edited by the Chief Justices of those jurisdictions.

Our work consistently earns attention and recognition. We were recently nominated in Benchmark Litigation’s Asia-Pacific Awards in three categories: “International Firm of the Year—Dispute Resolution,” “International Firm Lawyer of the Year—Denis Brock,” and “Rising Star of the region—Kieran Humphrey.” In 2022 Asia Legal Business shortlisted O’Melveny as “International Arbitration Law Firm of the Year” for Korea.
