The US Supreme Court agreed to hear Paul Erlinger’s appeal to his 15-year sentence after being convicted of being a felon in possession of multiple firearms. Erlinger claims under the Constitution that juries, not judges, determine the qualifications for a sentencing enhancement relating to armed criminals.
