O’Melveny Advises on Hong Kong IPO of Medcaptain Medical Technology, a Global Medical Device Provider

HONG KONG—September 7, 2026—O’Melveny represented joint sponsors Morgan Stanley Asia Limited and Huatai Financial Holdings (Hong Kong) Limited and the underwriters in the initial public offering and listing of Shenzhen Medcaptain Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (“Medcaptain”, 2041.HK) on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Medcaptain is a global integrated medical device provider with three major brands—Medcaptain, Penlon and Vedkang Medical. The group’s products span three major segments—life support, minimally invasive intervention, and in vitro diagnostics—reaching over 140 countries and regions worldwide. The group’s diversified product portfolio has reached over 6,000 hospitals, including approximately 90% of Grade 3A hospitals in China. Medcaptain has ranked first by sales value in China’s infusion workstation market for several consecutive years, and ranked among the top three in the country for minimally invasive intervention consumables targeting the digestive system. According to China Insights Consultancy, Medcaptain’s innovative and high-quality medical products, along with its extensive coverage across clinical departments, position it as one of the most comprehensive medical device companies in China.
O’Melveny continues to lead the industry in advising on healthcare listings in Hong Kong. As of today’s date, O’Melveny has, as Hong Kong and U.S. counsel, completed eight healthcare listings in Hong Kong, which is more than any other law firm.
