O’Melveny & Myers LLP expanded its Dallas presence with the recent addition of a five-partner corporate team from Locke Lord. Whit Roberts, Jack Jacobsen, Will Becker, Jason Schumacher, and Chrissy Williford Metcalf increased the firm’s Texas partner count to 16 and specialize in M&A, private equity, capital markets, energy, and tax. O’Melveny opened its first domestic offices in 20 years when it launched offices in both Austin and Dallas last June. “We’re expanding our operations into Texas to better support our clients and capitalize on key firm strengths,” O’Melveny chair Brad Butwin said. “We’re very strong financially right now, and our position gives us this opportunity to invest in important client relationships, and provide even deeper service for them and pursue significant growth opportunities.” Looking out on the marketplace, Roberts and Jacobsen discussed the active M&A landscape they’re seeing and answered a series of questions about the legal side of corporate deal making.
