O’Melveny advised Strava, the leading subscription platform at the center of connected fitness, in its acquisition of FATMAP, a mobile app for discovering, planning, navigating, and memorializing outdoor adventures. The transaction was announced on January 24. The O’Melveny team was led by London M&A partner Sevda Staykova and Silicon Valley M&A partner David Makarechian, head of the firm’s Emerging Technologies Group. The team also included London M&A counsel Benjamin Finger and associates Emma Drysdale and George Duncan.
