Texas Lawyer: O’Melveny Continues Texas Hiring With Five Locke Lord Corporate Partners

O’Melveny has hired five attorneys as partners in its Dallas office, signifying the firm’s continual expansion of operations in Texas. Richard Whitfield “Whit” Roberts, Jack Jacobsen, Jason Schumacher, Will Becker, and Christine “Chrissy” Williford Metcalf joined “to help the ‘well regarded’ firm build its Texas operations,” as noted by Roberts. “This is really just a compelling opportunity presenting itself,” he added. O’Melveny chair Bradley Butwin said the new group adds “leading practitioners in areas that are really strategic” and will “up our game further” in Texas. “This move into Texas is something we thought about for a long time and we are not just dipping our toe into the water. We are jumping into the pool. We have big plans,” Butwin said.
