The Recorder: O’Melveny Reps Marvel in Copyright Dispute With Comic Writer’s Family

O’Melveny has filed “a complaint for declaratory judgment” on behalf of Marvel concerning copyright claims over a number of its superhero characters. The suit is against heirs of comic artists who “who claim they are entitled to certain rights of their late father’s contributions to Marvel’s ‘Tales of Suspense’ comic.” O’Melveny’s Daniel Petrocelli, Molly Lens, Danielle Feuer, and Kendall Turner represent Marvel.
