Daniel Petrocelli and Amy Siegel Recognized as “2021 Power Lawyers” by The Hollywood Reporter

Century City—May 27, 2021—The Hollywood Reporter has named O’Melveny partners Daniel Petrocelli and Amy Siegel to its prestigious “2021 Power Lawyers” special report, which spotlights “Hollywood’s Top 100 Attorneys” that “have the industry's high-stakes litigation, mega-mergers and big-ticket talent pacts under control.”

Honored as a Power Lawyer by The Hollywood Reporter every year for the past decade, Daniel Petrocelli—O’Melveny Trial Practice Chair and Co-Vice Chair of the firm—was recognized once again for his acclaimed career that “is packed with achievements that seemingly had long odds.” The publication noted that Petrocelli will “soon be defending Kesha at trial from Lukasz (Dr. Luke) Gottwald’s defamation claims in a nearly seven-year-long dispute.” THR also referenced Petrocelli’s representation of “Google in connection with the government’s claims that it has a monopoly in the ad tech space.”

Amy Siegel, Co-Head of O’Melveny’s Entertainment, Sports and Media Industry Group, was honored as a Power Lawyer for the second consecutive year. The Hollywood Reporter noted that “Siegel’s roster includes Warner Bros., Paramount, Pearl Studio and Bron Studios—and 2020 saw her lead ViacomCBS’ acquisition of a 49 percent stake in Miramax in a $375 million deal.” The publication also referenced Siegel’s work advising “tech startup Looped in agreements with major media partners to use its video chat platforms to connect artists with fans through digital meet-and-greets and live events.”
