Matthew W. Close has been named a vice chair of the firm, succeeding Mark Samuels. “With his client-centric ethos and a deep commitment to O’Melveny’s values, Matt is among the most acclaimed and respected lawyers in his field and a worthy steward of this vital position,” Butwin added. O’Melveny named seven new practice and industry group leaders: Courtney Dyer and Michael Tubach, co-chairs, Antitrust & Competition Practice Group; Dawn Sestito, co-chair, General Litigation Practice Group; Leah Godesky, chair, Insurance Practice Group;

Alex Anderson, chair, Tax Practice Group; and Matt Cowan and Jennifer Sokoler, co-heads, Colleges & Universities Industry Group. O’Melveny also appointed new managing partners in seven offices: Stéphane Frank, Brussels; Brittany Rogers, Los Angeles; Tony Wang, Newport Beach; Ross Galin, New York; David Eberhart, San Francisco; Stephanie Keen, Singapore; and Tristan Morales, Washington, DC.
