The Hollywood Reporter: Power Lawyers 2022: Hollywood’s Top 100 Attorneys

The Hollywood Reporter has named O’Melveny partners Daniel Petrocelli, Amy Siegel, Molly Lens, and Silvia Vannini to its prestigious list of 2022 “Power Lawyers.” The special report spotlights “Hollywood's Top 100 Attorneys” who are “settling the strife between studios and stars over blockbuster streaming releases, navigating big-ticket mergers while fending off the government’s antitrust ire, and exploring cutting-edge issues involving NFTs and the metaverse.” Petrocelli has been honored as a “Power Lawyer” every year for more than the past decade. This year, he was recognized for his work defending Disney against litigation brought by Scarlett Johansson over the Black Widow release and advising studios on how to adjust their distribution models without legal conflict. The publication noted Lens’ “pivotal” role in “helping 20th Century Fox settle a copyright termination suit that threatened the release of the next installment in the Predator franchise.” Siegel’s lead role in two big ticket deals, CJ ENM’s US$850 million acquisition of Endeavor Content and fuboTV’s US$190 million acquisition of Molotov SAS, was highlighted in her profile. Vannini said she expects that “technology giants will continue to build cross-media offerings” after her profile featured her role in advising “ViacomCBS Networks International in its takeover of Spanish-language content producer Fox TeleColombia & Estudios TeleMexico.”
