Variety Names Four O’Melveny Partners to 2021 Dealmakers Impact Report

CENTURY CITY—December 8, 2021—O’Melveny partners Amy Siegel, Lindsay Conner, Bruce Tobey, and Silvia Vannini have been named to Variety’s 2021 Dealmakers Impact Report. The annual special report recognizes “top financiers, attorneys, executives and entrepreneurs” who “forged the major game-changing deals that changed the showbiz landscape.”

Variety recognized the O’Melveny team for their combined achievements in 2021, including:

• advising South Korea’s CJ ENM on buying an 80% stake in Endeavor Content;

• counseling ViacomCBS in buying a majority stake in Spanish-language content producer Fox TeleColombia & Estudios TeleMexico;

• representing the Tom Clancy literary estate in film/television rights;

• advising WarnerMedia on its sale of TMZ.

Variety has featured O’Melveny partners in its Dealmakers Impact Report every year for more than a decade.

Amy Siegel, Co-Head of O’Melveny’s Entertainment, Sports and Media Industry Group, represents motion picture studios, television networks, distribution and production companies, sports organizations and other media clients in all business and legal aspects relating to the acquisition, financing, exploitation and management of media-related assets. Siegel focuses her practice primarily on complex commercial licensing arrangements, with expertise in the use of intellectual property rights. She also advises clients on the creation of strategic alliances.

Lindsay Conner, who joined O’Melveny in October, focuses his practice on film, television, and digital content. He has served as chief outside entertainment counsel for major film studios and television networks, global telecommunications companies, film and television production and distribution companies, rights owners and content owners, and digital media companies, as well as for banks, financial institutions, private equity funds and high-net-worth investors.

Bruce Tobey advises on all aspects of production, distribution, financing, and licensing of feature film and television productions as well as digital media. He also provides strategic and operational advice to investors and companies in both traditional and new media. Tobey is a former Executive Vice President at Paramount Pictures and the former Chief Operating Officer of CBS Films.

Silvia Vannini advises public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate matters, including corporate governance, both in and out of the entertainment industry. She regularly represents private equity funds, domestic and foreign companies, motion picture studios, television networks as well as entrepreneurial clients on a wide range of corporate transactions.
