eMagin Corporation, a US-based leader in the development, design, and manufacture of Active-Matrix OLED microdisplays, announced on Wednesday it agreed to be acquired by Samsung Display Co. Ltd, a unit of South Korean technology giant Samsung Electronics. The deal, valued at approximately US$218 million, is expected to close in the second half of 2023, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
