Law360: O’Melveny Names New Leaders, Combines Practice Groups

O’Melveny has bolstered its leadership roster, announcing several new appointments on Monday, along with the launch of a combined securities litigation and financial services practice group. Pamela A. Miller and Steven J. Olson have been named co-chairs of the Litigation Department, joining co-chair Richard B. Goetz, who will remain through early 2025. The new Securities Litigation and Financial Services Practice Group will be co-chaired by Matthew W. Close and Meaghan VerGow. VerGow will also join the firm’s Management Team. In addition, six new practice and industry group leaders have been named: Tracie Ingrasin, chair, Asset Management Practice Group; Jim Bowman, co-chair, White Collar Defense and Corporate Investigations Practice Group; William K. Pao and Jonathan P. Schneller, co-heads, Artificial Intelligence Industry Group; and Jeff Hoffner and Jason Schumacher, co-heads, Energy Industry Group. Garrett Johnston will serve as the inaugural managing partner in Houston and Portia Ku will take the reigns as managing partner in Shanghai. Finally, Jeffrey E.
