O’Melveny announced a slate of new leaders, which included litigation and corporate department co-heads and a second vice chair of the firm, this article reported.

Labor partner Apalla Chopra will now serve as co-chair of the litigation department, alongside Rich Goetz. Additionally, project finance partner Eric Richards will join Brophy Christensen as co-chair of the corporate department. “Apalla and Eric are among the most widely recognized, highly decorated lawyers in their respective fields,” firm chair Bradley Butwin said in a statement. “They are models of client service and firm citizenship.”

Former litigation co-chair Randy Oppenheimer and former corporate co-chair Warren Lazarow will join the firm’s executive committee. Litigator Dan Petrocelli, who leads the trial practice, will step into a second vice chair position, alongside current vice chair Mark Samuels.

The firm also announced new practice and office leaders, which included Eric Amdursky as co-chair of labor and employment, Michael Hamilton as chair of project development and real estate, Pamela Miller as co-chair of financial services, and Sabrina Strong as co-chair of product liability and mass torts.

Bloomberg Law also reported that Madhu Pocha, Courtney Dyer, and Nima Amini will take over as managing partners of the Century City, Washington, DC, and Hong Kong offices, respectively.

The firm also tapped partners Molly Lens, Irwin Raij, and Amy Siegel to lead its entertainment, sports and media industry group, the publication noted.

“We all benefit,” Butwin said, “when more of our partners have the chance to take on management responsibilities.”
